About Us
Empowering Communities Through Breast Cancer Awareness, Early Detection & Mental Health Support
Who We Are
Risima Foundation NPC is a South African non-profit organization dedicated to breast cancer awareness, early detection, and mental health support.
We serve vulnerable and under-resourced communities through education, screenings, and empowerment initiatives.
Our work is rooted in compassion, lived experience, and the unwavering belief that every person deserves access to health education, emotional support, and dignity in their healing journey.
How We Began
Our foundation was born from a deeply personal experience. In 2021, our founder was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer — a diagnosis that changed her life and ignited a vision to help others through awareness and action.
What started as one woman’s story has since evolved into a community-driven movement that advocates for early detection and walks alongside those affected by breast cancer and emotional trauma.
Our Mission
To reduce the impact of breast cancer and mental health challenges in underserved communities by:
- Promoting early detection through education and mobile health services
- Providing emotional and psychological support
- Creating platforms for awareness, empowerment, and healing
Our Vision
A South Africa where no one fights breast cancer or mental illness alone — where support, knowledge, and access to care are within everyone’s reach.
Our Values
️Compassion – We lead with empathy and kindness
Community – We believe in collective healing and strength
